A 2-disc vinyl album with 35 tracks recorded between 1967 and 1972 by the band and solo projects of its members,
compiled by Andrew Lauder (who was head of Liberty/UA's A&R). It was released in 1974. The band was created by a group of British
art-school students in the 1960s. Combining elements of music hall, trad jazz and psychedelia with surreal humour and avant-garde art,
they came to public attention through appearances in the Beatles' 1967 film Magical Mystery Tour and the 1968 ITV comedy show

Vibraphonist Cal Tjader, one of the earliest musicians to introduce Latin elements into the jazz idiom.
He eventually linked up with pianist Dave Brubeck, and the two would form an ensemble with Tjader on percussion.
The band quickly became one of the most popular musical acts in the Bay Area. In 1964, Tjader would score his biggest
hit with Soul Sauce. A Dizzy Gillespie original, Tjader’s version features a hypnotic Afro-Cuban groove punctuated by
splashes of colorful vibraphone and the occasional shout-out of “Guachi Guaro” — a nonsense Spanish word made up by the
group’s drummer, Willie Bobo. It became so popular that it landed in the Billboard Top 50 chart for 1965.

Perfect Machine is the thirty-second album by jazz pianist Herbie Hancock.
It was the third and final album in Hancock’s series co-produced by Bill Laswell. Guests include bassist Bootsy Collins.
The album was produced with Bill Laswell and performed with Bootsy Collins, Leroy "Sugarfoot" Bonner of the Ohio Players,
and Grand Mixer DXT. It marked the end of his "Rockit" phase in the 1980s.

The sixth studio album by English rock band UFO, released in 1977. All songs are band originals except "Alone Again Or",
a cover of a song by the band Love. Reaching number 23 on the Billboard 200, it is the band's highest-charting album in the United States.
In the UK, it hit number 54 and stayed on the chart for two weeks. The album was UFO's first to feature lush string arrangements,
alongside more complex song structures than on previous albums. Producer Ron Nevison brought in Alan McMillan to handle the string
and horn arrangements. The most notable song to feature orchestral colouring was "Love to Love".

pianist Hampton Hawes and alto saxophonist Ornette Coleman (here playing trumpet).
